Notes

In this fight, one must understand exactly which versions of the characters are facing off. This version of Optimus Prime is Powermaster Optimus Prime, combined with Hi Q. This Megazord is the original from Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, comprised of the original Dinozords. Megazord has a definite size advantage in this match, but Powermaster Prime, when combined with his trailer, has taken on and defeated enemies of much greater size before. Prime also has the advantage of being faster and more agile than the massive Megazord.

The Scenario

The battlefield is an immense, empty terrain. Also, due to the impossible might of the Megazord’s Power Sword, and given the Megazord’s already substantial size advantage, it will be handicapped by being unable to access the Power Sword for the duration of this match. Also, when the fight begins, Megazord will already be in Battle mode, saving time from the lengthy intro, and Optimus will be in robot mode.

The Fight

When the fight begins, the two opponents are a fair distance away from each other. Red ranger is giving his team a pep talk while Megazord poses. Optimus surveys the battlefield, sizing up his opponent. He begins to charge towards Megazord, taking aim with his laser rifle and firing several shots. The shots connect and blast holes through Megazord, but does little real damage besides getting its attention. Megazord strides towards Optimus and kicks towards the smaller robot. Optimus catches the foot and holds it back, using all of his strength to stop the Megazord from crushing him. Megazord steps back, preparing for another attack.

Optimus realizes that he is not strong enough on his own, and summons his trailer to combine with him. Standing over twice as tall, Optimus suddenly seems to be more of a match for the Megazord. Megazord steps forward and throws a series of punches, most of which Prime dodges, but one connects, throwing the Autobot back, sparks flying. Prime recovers and looks determinedly at his opponent, drawing closer. Megazord steps close to Optimus, preparing to finish the job, when Optimus suddenly springs up, climbing Megazord’s leg and swinging around to his back. He punches Megazord in the back of the knee several times, bringing the huge robot down to a kneel and fracturing the mightly legs. Optimus continues his ascent up the Megazord’s back, as it swings about trying to knock him off. Optimus stands atop the broad shoulders of the Megazord and lays blow upon blow against the Megazord’s armored head until it cracks and breaks. Sparks fly and the Power Rangers are ejected from the machine, leaving it to topple to the ground, defeated.

Outcome

Despite the size and power advantages of the Megazord, Optimus Prime is faster and more agile, allowing him to play upon the larger robot’s weaknesses. What’s more, Optimus proves to be more resourceful and a better tactition when it comes to fighting, leading him to an unlikely victory.
